UX (user experience) focuses on the interactions the user will have when using the design. This also includes the user's feelings. UI (user interface) focuses on the buttons and icons put into the design.

The biggest changes we made to our wireframe designs were made with UI in mind. As you can see in the first set of wireframes we had the main navigation panel on the side of the screen. In order to view this navigation panel the user would need to know to click the three bars in the top left corner. After discussion, we realized this was an error in our UI design and could greatly impact how the users use the app. You can see in our second set of wireframes that the navigation panel is on the bottom of the screen, in full view. It does not need any sort of prior action to reveal it; therefore, making it a better UI design.
